Meet the Mac Team
At Mac, we’re a curious blend of engineering obsession and creative flair — equal parts grease, graphite, and good humour. Between us, there’s not much we haven’t dismantled, redesigned, or rebuilt (usually for the better).
Together, the Mac team embody what Mac stands for: craftsmanship, curiosity, and a dash of mischief — because making great things should always be a little bit fun.
Ian Oliver
- Leads the team at Mac
- A qualified engineer and Petrolhead who spent his formative years blasting around fields on 1979 YZ80F
- Raced competitively from the age of 7 but spent more time in the St Johns Ambulance than on the podium…
- Was a Jaguar Powertrain Engineer/Manager for 10 years, also has an addiction to LandRovers, Tractors and Top Trumps from the 80s..
Clive Goodwin
- Our designer / stylist-in-chief
- Has penned everything from Mobile phones to Motorbikes
- Has a sideline in old air-cooled VWs, but we don’t hold that against him
Nathan Clarke
- Nathan has been our resident Engineer and has seen us through our development process.
- Life-time of Engineering experience from Motorcycles, to Luxury cars to Tractors, if it moves Nathan has engineered it.
- Nathan also races various Honda track cars when he’s not updating drawings for us!
David Guest
- Dave (or delightful Dave as he’s known to some) has ridden and raced bikes for 5 decades
- He started on a 350 Norton when he was 12, yes 12!
- He the raced Yamaha TZ250 and 350’s with over 100 wins and 6 club championships
- His favourite places are Cadwell Park and Olivers Mount
- In his racing days he was sponsored by a rabbit breeder!
- Dave is our trusted test rider and as you’d expect he’s good at sucking air through his teeth and saying ‘it just needs a bit more…’
Vikki Brooks
- Organises the team at Mac and has over 20 years’ experience working with senior leaders and business owners
- Has been a proud pillion since the age of 15 and spent most of her teens freezing cold at the side of motorcross tracks (and often covered in mud)
- Now spends weekends watching bike racing and attends as many BSB events as possible
- Married to an old school biker who loves his classic British bikes (possibly more than his wife)
- Lives on a smallholding surrounded by ageing tractors.
