The Details
Precision, Balance, & Soul
Every Mac bike is built with one simple aim: to make you grin every time you throw a leg over it. Low, lean, and unapologetically mechanical, it’s a machine that rewards riders who prefer feel over flash and substance over screens.
With a seat height of just 760mm, it’s approachable without losing attitude — you sit in the bike, not on top of it. The 1,430mm wheelbase gives it the perfect balance between agility and stability, equally happy carving through bends or cruising the backroads. At 150 kilograms dry (oils in, fuel out), it’s light enough to flick around, yet solid enough to feel planted when the pace picks up.
As for top speed? Well, let’s call it “around 100mph”, give or take the size of the rider, the mood of the wind, and whether you’ve managed to catch a helpful tow from the vehicle in front.
But truthfully, it’s not about the numbers. It’s about that mechanical connection — the hum, the vibration, and the grin that refuses to fade long after the engine’s stopped ticking.
THE ENGINE
Our engine comes from SWM in Italy – and is their version of the Husqvarna TE610 motor, they put it good use it in their ‘Superdual’ adventure bike and it’s a tried and tested unit, with bags of ‘Big Single’ character (but also surprising refined for a ‘Thumper’)
We’ve added our own Mapping and ECU mated with a Mikuni throttle body:
- Single cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled
- 57 bhp
- 4-valve head, chain-driven, double overhead camshaft
- Compression ratio: 12.4 : 1
- Bore: 3.94 inches or 100mm
- Stroke: 3.01 inches or 76.4mm
- Displacement: 36.6 cu. in. or 600cc
- Electric start
- 6-speed gearbox
The Frame and Swing-arm
Made in the UK, our Frame and Swing-arm are our own design – in the early days we consulted with the Legendary Lester Harris of Harris Performance to set the geometry and key hardpoints – all of which carry through to the production design we see today.
- The steel tubular backbone and cradle frame, with a triangulated swing-arm are unique to Mac
- Seat subframe and tail section are bolt-on so should the unthinkable happen, it’s straightforward to repair
- It’s CAD modelled and has been tested to extremes – both digitally and physically
- It’s e-coated, powder-coated (in a range of colours) then lacquered for ultimate protection against the elements, we also blast cavity wax into the tubes where we can – just because…
THE FUEL TANK
- Beautifully sculpted by our own Clive Goodwin, it’s made by Italian experts Acerbis, who produce tanks for the worlds best
- Fuel capacity is 16 litres
- Low fuel light so you avoid the walk of shame…
THE BODYWORK
Mudguards, seat-base and hump are all made from strong, lightweight dent-resistant ABS – made in sunny Redditch.
We’ve partnered with Richard Hammond’s workshop ‘The Smallest Cog’ on the colours and paintwork – we have a range of standard colours and you also have the option of choosing / designing your own!
THE SUSPENSION
Fastace’s well-made 47mm upside down front forks, with both compression and rebound adjustment as standard-issue 130mm travel.
The rear shock is made by Nitron, in Oxfordshire, Nitron make first-rate quality Motorsport suspension systems. Standard fit is an adjustable Nitron R1 , with a 40mm piston.

THE WIRING & ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
You don’t usually see or think about these, and we’ve gone to great lengths to make sure you don’t have to!
Our wiring harness is made in the UK by Simtek, all connectors are waterproofed and every harness is fully tested after assembly. Bought-in parts such as switch packs and ignition switches are also retro-fitted with fully waterproof connectors by Simtek at their factory in Whitworth (in not-so-Sunny Lancashire).
Our ECU is UK made and supports industry standard OBD2 diagnostics, so should you need to, you can use a generic off-the shelf code reader.
